Geophysical Models

There are a range of models held by the UKSSDC which allow the user to make runs of the models using real data from the UKSSDC archives.

Due to operational difficulties, MSIS-86 is no longer available for use.

MSIS-86
(Mass Spectrometer - Incoherent Scatter) Model of the Upper Atmosphere.

MSISE-90
(Mass Spectrometer - Incoherent Scatter) Model of the Upper Atmosphere.
This model is NOT an upgrade for the upper thermosphere and is probably less efficient than MSIS86.
