Ion_releases

The release containers were prepared by the Max-Planck Institut fuer extraterrestrische Physik. The effects of these releases on the space plasma environment were observed locally by the IRM and UKS spacecraft. In addition, the releases were observed optically by an extensive network of ground-based and airborne cameras. Full details are available in the following paper:
