This is a small list of some of the terms used in these help files.

antipodal

Two places on opposite sides of the earth (e.g. New Zealand and Europe).

K

A class of indices whose midclass ranges are representative of the actual range.

mondial

The whole earth as north and south hemispheres.

CNRS

Stands for Centre National de la Recherche Scientific in Paris.
