Recent Service Problems

The UKSSDC apologises for a general loss of service between 7th and 9th November 2012. This was the result of a local power cut affecting the data centre and the Chilton ionosonde.

The real time data connection from the Chilton ionosonde to the UKSSDC was restored on 20th November 2012.

There is a data gap in ionospheric data from Chilton of a few hours on 7th November as a direct result of the power cut. Between the 7th and 20th the ionosonde was operating, but unable to send data over the network. The data centre has now received that back log of data.
