The Admiral of the Fleet, Sir Henry Jackson, FRS, was the first chairman of the Radio Research Board.
Sir Henry was a keen experimenter as well as an accomplished wireless signaller. Less famous now than his peers such as Marconi, Sir Henry was unable to publicise his research as he was bound by strict security regulations. Despite this he was a life long radio enthusiast.
