Stanley Ionosonde back in action

On 21st May the first data was received from the repaired Stanley Ionosonde, since its failure on 18th January 2008.

It had to be shipped back to the UK for repairs, and following repair and testing, shipped back to the Falkland Islands. After a few teething troubles it is now running routine 30 minute soundings, 24 hours a day.

Please contact Mike Hapgood M.A.Hapgood@rl.ac.uk, Head of Ionospheric Monitoring at RAL, if you would like further information.
